These are photos I took a couple of weeks ago outside of my apartment. I really think they are beautiful. I edited them in photoshop and raw.

These are my favorite photos that I took for Christina and Tanner. I took these photos in mid-March 2010. I love photos that have true laughter and show real emotion. Photos should capture a moment and some of my favorites in this album totally do just that. (Some are fake smiles too, but the really good ones are candid.) Also some of these are edited and some are just the way they are.

These photos were taken for cloudNINE by me. I am the original president of cloudNINE and if you would like to know more go to nataliehupe.blogspot.com. I also created the logo. (Of course I did not create the font, but I did modify it to fit our needs.)

All of these photos were taken for Sara Malone on April 10th, 2010. She graduated with a Social Work Bachelors degree from Bringham Young University-Idaho.

These photos were taken in the past two weeks and I just made a template in photoshop and basically used a clipping mask to place them into the template.  I like the flower but not so much the temple photo.

Ok, so I went to Salt Lake this weekend and these are just a few of the pictures I took.    I really love the last one of the Salt Lake Temple.  It seems like just about every picture that I see of the temple shows just the temple and no city around it, but this picture show it all.  I put all of these photos in dynamic photo and photoshop to get the desired look.

I really love this picture too! I think that it just turned out great!  I am really happy with 95 percent of the photos I took in Bannack.  This is an HDR photo that I did.  I used a tripod and bracketing and High Dynamic Range to create these beautiful colors.

Ok I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, this photo!  I just love the light, the shapes that it makes and how the shadow fall on the chair.  I think its really pretty.  I used bracketing -2, 0, +2, I also used a tripod and put the images into HDR to bring out the best colors in each photo into one.

For this photo I used Bracketing -2,0,+2.  I then put the 3 images in HDR and created these vivid colors and contrast.  I also used a tripod to capture these images.  I think that the 0 exposure image looks really nice, but I like how HDR brings out the roughness in this photo looks and how bright the colors are.

To create the final panoramic I did a photo merge in photoshop and then cropped the image.  Then I put it into HDR and created more vivid colors.  I think this panoramic is beautiful.

This photo was taken in Bannack, Montana I used a slow shutter speed to and a tripod to capture the image.  I also used a level adjustment in photoshop to bring out the colors.

I love this picture! I did nothing to it, other than direct the model, and take the photo.  I love the light in this photo and I think, even though it is more of a silhouette portrait, Sandy looks beautiful in this photo.  The colors are just beautiful too.

For the first photolusion I wanted to make it look like I had a twin.  I switched the side of my face on one and just used masks to merge the two images.  I think it kinda looks real.  The second photolusion is a picture of the winter through my window here in Idaho combined with a picture of the summer from my home in Texas.

I took this photo in my apartment a couple weeks ago.  As Sister Esplin has been telling us to look for illusions I found this one randomly as my roommate went put her plate in the kitchen.  I think she looks like she has tiara on her head, which is actually perfect for her because she is a bit of a princess!!!

I decided to use these to floral photos instead of the light paintings because I thought this would just look better. I tried to give the light painting a brushed effect and it just looked stupid, I think this is better.  Anyway, the brushed flower I used a mask and heavy brushes in photoshop to give it this effect, I used three different percentages of opacity, and added a thin black border.  The Faded Rose has a faded black border and a double fade white border.  I really like this one, it really helps the focal point stand out.

These photos were all taken with shutter priority to paint with light.  The Igloo was something I have been wanting to take pictures of for a while, and I think the light painting turned out cool I added an adjustment layer to give the colors a little more depth.  Hearts are actually two pictures one taken right after another and just put together (one in front of the other). They are exactly how I took them plus an adjustment layer to darken the darks. These last two photos were taken for a previous post and for another class, but they fit in this blog too.  The intersection was cropped to take out the unnecessary blank space, but otherwise is exactly how I took it.  Private Time has an adjustment layer and is masked out over the focal point, it also has some burned edges.  Ps-Private Time is my favorite….funny.

I took these photos early Saturday morning.  I was really hoping to get a beautiful sunrise, but then I realized that I was in Rexburg, Idaho.  Instead I got an extremely cloudy morning with tons of snow.  I think the picture turned out pretty cool in the end though.  I only had to do a few edits to get it to come together,  I had to add a black layer behind the whole photo and a few adjustments layers to get the pretty blue.

All of these photos were taken in a landscape mode so that a deep depth of field could be in focus.  I really like how the electrical poles vanish into the horizon.  The snow is white and the sky looks white.  The contrast between nature and man made is so clear in this photo, which is why I liked it.   The above photo shows these 7 images merged to make one landscape shot.  The photos were merged using the photo merge option in photoshop.

I just changed the sizes of the rectangles and placed my images in to them.  I sized them all accordingly after I placed the photos in.  I don’t think I will use this for my photo book, I will probably design my own.

The images are in order from top to bottom starting with last wednesday to today, Tuesday.  I found Pine Cone in snow walking home from class, I thought it was so cool how the pine cone was standing straight up in the snow, so I had to capture it.  I used an adjustment layer in photoshop to lighten the image just a bit.  The next photo was found while I was wedding dress shopping with a roommate, I really liked the texture of the wall.  Megan’s Fun Face was taken friday night as my roommates and I were just messing around having a girls night.  My roommates were just dancing around being silly and this is my favorite candid shot I got that night.  There is a slight blur added to the back because my roommates in the background were making really odd faces.  The Branch has an adjustment layer added to it to darken the colors a bit.  All other photos that have not been mentioned are the way I took them and have no other modifications.

The top photo is the original picture that I took at Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah.  I think the flowers are just beautiful.  For this assignment we had to replace a color and I just thought this would be a fun picture to change up.  The first photo of me is the original.  Next I healed some blemishes on my chin and under my nose, and then fixed the bags under my eyes.  Then I used the same photo for the luminosity assignment.

These first 2 photos were taken because Christina recently got engaged and wanted some photos with her ring to show to her family.   I really think these photos really capture the sweetness of being engaged in the winter months.  They were both taken with aperture priority.  The first photo was a little over exposed so I used an adjustment layer in photoshop to adjust the layers. The last photo was taken on Easter last year.  Danielle, Megan, and I were here in Rexburg alone so we made the best of it.

The first photo I love.  I took this photo on a hike in Wyoming and the whole hike was just as beautiful as this.  This photo has the adjustment layer on it.

Also, I am not  a huge fan of the filters in Photoshop, but I know we had to use one for this assignment.  The Sad Bear was taken at Bear World and I used the dry brush filter and then used the mask to make the bear look natural.  I liked it because it made the photo look like a cartoon.

I have a thing for complimentary colors when used with flowers and plants.  I love how complimentary colors make such a bold statement, which is why I decided to use roses for this weeks blog.  The red and green are just so beautiful together with the roses and the raspberries.  The Cubs Playing was taken at Bear World and was cropped and straightened.  The macro setting was used to take the plant photos and landscape was used for the cubs.

I wanted to capture the beauty of winter and snow for these landscape shots.  I feel that each photo shows a different aspect of the beauty of winter, whether it is something you see everyday, a bright sky, or just little things that nature drops along our way.  Path to Where You Live was brightened in photoshop just a bit with some burned edges on the bottom to give extra contrast to the center of the photo.  Winter Sky had slight burned edges in photoshop all around to make the focal point stronger on the light.  The Pine Cone was cropped and rotated a bit in photoshop.
